Introduction:
In my website, I wish to address the concept of lost identity in the black community. Too many blacks in today's culture are changing themselves in the smallest ways, without realizing it, to become closer in appearance and identity to white people. Blacks are losing the vision of traditional African American beauty.
Objectives:
Persuade African Americans to see the true realities of what we have arisen to, concerning identity, over the years. African American ancestors worked in the fields as slaves and servants to the whites and during that time, and the years preceding, the idea of black power and unity was strongly supported and exercised. However, in the world today, many blacks have started to change themselves both physically and mentally. Blacks, in my opinion, have begun to lose that sense of self worth and pride and no longer exert the idea of black pride.
Goals:
Persuade African Americans to see how they have lost themselves over the years in terms of black pride and identity.
Audience:
The primary audience for my website would have to be African American from ages 13 to above. I believe a sense of self identity begins in the teenage years which is why i chose to start the age of my directed audience at 13.
